Underground was exceptional, really ads to the tour. What taints it is that ticket scalpers like get your guide buy up all the very limited tickets, so you have almost no chance to buy a tickets forLESS than half of what they charge. You can get your own tickets for underground and hire a guide there at the colosseum for half and much less if a large group. The Colosseum is trying to stop these scalpers form using hi tec computers to buy all the tickets, legal thievery !

This is an absolutely essential tour of the Coliseum and Palatine Hill site especially the underground access portion which is stunning. What is also stunning is the amount of time saved via the priority access, which more than pays for the tour on its own! Highly recommended tour of a must see attraction in Rome!

The tour was indispensable to understanding the history of the Colosseum and navigating the chaos of the line; honestly, I don't know how people visit this site on their own. The tour guide, Magda, was incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic, and she helped us get a sense of what the Colosseum must have been like in its heyday.
