What to Expect
Spend your time exploring the Vatican Museums instead of waiting in the queues outside! Your guide will take you directly into the Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where you’ll marvel at the magnificent art and architectural detail.
This approximately 4-hour tour includes pick-up at your hotel in Rome. On the drive to the Vatican you’ll be able to see some of the most important sights of Rome, including the Piazza della Repubblica, the ancient Aurelian Walls, the famous Villa Borghese gardens, and the northern city gate that leads into the Piazza del Popolo.
At the Vatican Museums your guide will show you the beautiful spiral stairway, the impressive Gallery of Tapestries, and the Gallery of Geographical Maps. Finally, you’ll arrive at the Sistine Chapel, which houses the famous Last Judgment fresco by Michelangelo. At the end of the tour you'll have some free time to visit Saint Peter's Basilica independently.
