What to Expect
Climb aboard an iconic vehicle in Rome and explore the Eternal City’s Baroque sights in a unique fashion. The 3-hour sightseeing tour gives you the transportation choice of a futuristic self-balancing Segway, an iconic Vespa scooter (with or without driver/guide), a truly original 1960s reconstruction of a 3-wheeled Ape Calessino, or a comfortable city bike.
The Baroque is an artistic 17th century period that used exaggerated motion, and clear detail to produce drama, tension, exuberance, and grandeur in sculpture, painting, and architecture. It reached its greatest expression in Rome, due to the rivalry between geniuses, such as Bernini and Borromini.
Starting from Piazza Barberini, at the spectacular Fontana del Tritone, cross Rome, visiting its most evocative piazzas, and sites such as the Church of St. Agnes in Agony, Barcaccia at Piazza di Spagna, and Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi in the stunning Piazza Navona.
Make sure you stop at the Trevi Fountain, one of Rome’s most beloved Baroque sites, where Anita Ekberg frolicked in the classic movie “La Dolce Vita.” Throw a coin in the fountain and, according to legend, you will one day return to Rome.
