Full description

Cycle towards the Volcano Lazio following an old Roman road, called the Appian Way. Using e-bikes means you can relax without the physical effort of having to cycle up hills. Escape the busy city and make your way to a beautiful park famous for Roman aqueducts, pagan tombs, and Christian catacombs. Set out on your tour and make stops to appreciate sites, such as the Catacombs of St. Callisto, the Park of the Aqueducts, and the Spring of Sant'Egeria for a water and lunch break.

Get a feel for what Rome and its countryside looked like before the city started to grow and its suburbs swallowed up what was still mostly farmland at the end of the 1950s. Reach a mineral spring for a taste of authentic Italian food for lunch, accompanied by water straight from the source. Head back into the city from the Cafarella Valley to finish your tour.

  • Electric bicycle
  • Child seats
  • Outdoor market lunch

This is a great opportunity to see suburban Rome and get a good view of real life in the city. the guide we got was very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. Bikes were in good condition and adequate for the road. My only point of caution is that riders should be fairly skilled to navigate the road traffic and Appia way terrain, riders without experience riding in open vehicle traffic should steer clear.

The tour using ebikes is very easy. You can do it with any fitness level. Experience in bikes control is required as part of the tour (actually small) goes together with a car traffic. I'm not recommend for childrens. The lunch is great and tasting. Take with you water. Bikes had special bags.

Great bike tour, from the meeting point you are quickly out of the city and into nature. The city is especially busy on Sundays and is a welcome change from a weekend trip. Super guide, lunch in a very nice place where the spring water that leads to the city through the aqueducts can be tapped. Market on the place where lunch is served, and the guide serves you at your beck and call. Delicious board with a meat or cheese specialty from the market, if desired.
