What to Expect
Enjoy a 3-day tour of Capri and get picturesque views of a jagged coastline, gently rolling hills, towering mountains and golden sand beaches. With 2 nights accommodation on the island, you can experience the legendary “La Dolce Vita” of Italy in a laid-back fashion. The package includes a short city tour of Naples, ferry tickets across to Capri, and accommodation in a 4-star hotel.

Day 1: Rome – Naples -Capri
Depart Rome at 07:30 and drive along the “Highway of the Sun,” admiring the countryside landscape of Lazio and Campania, and picturesque views of the Abbey of Monte Cassino. The golden stonework of the abbey, perched atop a hill some 81 miles (130 kilometers) south of Rome was, according to legend, built on the site of an old Temple of Apollo, and became a blueprint for future monastic constructions.

Continue to Naples for a short city tour of the coastal Mergellina neighborhood, facing the Castel dell’Ovo. The former fishing village has now bled into Naples proper, and serves as the port for ferries and hydrofoils across to the islands of the Tyrrhenian Sea and Sorrentine Peninsula. Continue to Piazza del Plebiscito, bounded by the flamboyant Royal Palace, and the stern colonnades of San Francesco di Paola. Finally, gaze in awe at the medieval Maschio Angioino (Castel Nuovo), before boarding your ferry to Capri.

Upon arrival, take a short island tour before lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you can take advantage of some free time to check into your hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Capri
Following breakfast at your hotel, spend the day exploring Capri at your own pace. Loved by movie makers and glamorous celebrities for decades, Capri offers a barefoot atmosphere of breathtaking views, incredible colors and exquisitely fresh food. You are free to simply sit on the beach, soak up the sun, and sip on a Negroni. Or, stroll through the narrow streets, finding nooks and crannies from one end of the island to the other. Walk as far as Augustus Gardens, and look over the former home of Gracie Fields.

The more adventurous can take a bus along the hairpin twists to Anacapri, from where you can ride a chair lift to Monte Solaro for blissful views of the island from its highest point (1,932 feet/589 meters). Alternatively, go to the Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto) and sail inside the cavern, or look for falcons, geckos, and the blue lizard of the Faraglioni rocks.

Day 3: Capri - Rome
After breakfast at your hotel, and free time to do some last minute shopping, sail back to the mainland and return to Rome in the afternoon. Your estimated time of arrival will depend on the traffic, but should be late in the evening or at night.
