Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Begin your guided tour at the Vatican Museums, with their immense collection built by the Popes throughout the centuries. See the Pio Clementino Hall, the Laocoon and Apollo Belvedere, the Maps Gallery, the Candelabra Gallery, the Tapestries Gallery, and the Sistine Chapel.

From the Museum, exit directly into St. Peter’s Basilica, the most important Christian church in the world, where you will admire, among others, Michelangelo’s masterpiece the Pietà, and the impressive Baldachin Altar by Bernini.

The tour ends in St. Peter’s Square, dominated by Michelangelo’s imposing Cupola and surrounded by the famous Bernini’s double Colonnade.

A very pleasant experience with the guide Olimpia, who made me and my small group discover the Vatican museums and the imposing St. Peter's, but gave us many other tips about Rome and its attractions. The entrance to the basilica is free, but I highly recommend you to buy tickets for this tour because it is really worth visiting with an expert to help you understand and appreciate it to the fullest! (I hope you find Olimpia!)

The tour itself was very good, with detailed explanations of things to look for the history behind them. Our tour included the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peters Basilica. Be aware though, the tour company will steer you to their affiliated gift shop off tour, while passing 3-4 on site gift shops on premises.

our guide Roberto was hands down THE BEST! There isn't a review good enough to explain how satisfied we and all the other tour participants felt about our experience with Roberto. the way he explained every detail if the history of the vatican and sixteen chapel was mesmerizing. the words he used to describe the paintings, the politics, the drama, the humor... everything was remarkable. as a catholic myself and my wife who is muslim... we both came out the tour knowing so much about how everything was created. I am floored of how great Roberto was. I know there are many great tour guides out there. but trust me when I say you want to book with Roberto. you will. it regret it. 5 starts!!!! ciao
