we enjoyed a nice, quiet, and 'not so crowded' tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. our guide, Elizabetha was absolutely amaaaaaayzing! she's also an archaeologist, so you can imagine how knowledgeable her tour was. I commend her for talking straight for 2.5 hours! we had a great time, traveling back in time with her. we were completely wowed by the sheer talent of artists 500 years ago; and impressed with the preservation efforts! I recommend doing this tour with a guide first, then doing it on your own later. this is our plan. thanks for a great experience, Elizabetha!

The tour was good and the guide was quite good, but I think if one is going to see the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel it would help to go in smaller groups. The venues are already quite crowded with other tourist groups. We had chosen the 9 am slot, which I think was ideal. Overall, a good experience.

Alexandra was a great guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour gets you to the Sistine Chapel before the crowds get there and then the group breaks after an overview of the museums. There’s a ton to see. You could easily spend a full day going through the museums if you wanted to.
