Robba Fountain, Ljubljana

You cannot go wrong if you choose this guided walk around the historical city center combined with a visit to Ljubljana Castle. It includes all of Ljubljana's major sights and offers an insight into numerous interesting stories about life in Ljubljana from the past and present. The tour begins in front of the Town Hall, a building with a rich history now used as the seat of the City Municipality of Ljubljana. From the Town Hall and the Robba Fountain in front of it you will go on a walk around the historical city center during which you will learn about the history of all the city's major sights. The walk will take you across the Cobblers' Bridge and past the National and University Library and the Križanke Summer Theater to the Kongresni trg Square from where you will continue to Prešernov trg Square dominated by the Franciscan Church and connected to the Triple Bridge. Then, head further on to Plečnik's Market and the cathedral. Just a short walk from there is the bottom station of Ljubljana's funicular railway, which wil whisk you up 70 vertical meters in just a minute and bring you to Ljubljana Castle, the city's most prominent sight. The castle's outlook tower offers the most beautiful views of the city, while its interior houses several museum displays and other exhibitions including, among others, 'Slovenian History,' 'The Prison' and 'Virtual Castle.'

Lake Bled will certainly leave you speechless, since it offers various sport activities and represents a place where you can spend the most romantic moments of your life. Take a walk around the lake enjoying the fresh alpine air and watch swans and ducks at play. Admire Bled Castle built on a precipice above the glacial lake, which according to written sources is the oldest Slovene castle. At the end, you will pass by some other local monuments and refresh yourself with a delicious vanilla and custard cream cake called cremeschnitte (kremšnita). Ljubljana A leap into the history of the city and the castle. Duration approximately 2 hours. A little uphill and it starts on a nice dirt road. We will walk for approximately 4.5 km. But it will be worth it, the landscape will be breathtaking. It is a route where not many people go and we could fully enjoy the wonders of Ljubljana. Quick description departure Congress Square takes Emona Ljubljana, then towards French Revolution Square. Direction of Hercules fountain. The island has several buildings, the main one being the pilgrimage church dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. Medieval Bled Castle stands above the lake on the north shore and has a museum.
