Our problem at the beginning was our expectation, we thought it would all be a bit more exclusive. We had to walk to a meeting point (1.2km) and from there on to a kind of department store, where we first had to pay the fees in a long queue. Before the lunch buffet there was a sales event and a break of half an hour, which we should use to buy souvenirs, of course. After that we were let through to the buffet. There were 8 buses on site at times. The food was okay. In Chichen Itza we were divided by language. The guide did a very good job and then there was 1 hour. In the cenote we just looked at everything but did not bathe. Too stressful, with more time and at a not so full time (5 buses) certainly a great thing. Valladolit: It is about the park in the center, which is very nicely laid out. A local specialty in the park was super tasty. For the price of 44€ we got an insane amount.

Overall we enjoyed the tour. Going in we had already read the reviews aboutwaiting time at the check-in location, so went in with enough patience. The drive is very long, but the bus is comfortable enough to sleep in. The Tour guide Alfredo Mejia was outstanding and very informative and our driver Enrique was also great. Only feedback to the company - PLEASE MENTION THE WAITING TIMES IN THE LISTING. I believe people would be less frustrated if they knew what to expect. We were picked up at 7.10 am at our hotel, arrived at 7.20 at the check in location in Playa del Carmen and only departed at around 8.45/ 9 from there. Then we had to pick up another group in tulum about 45min away.. The actual tour only started once everybody was onboard. We arrived back in Playa del Carmen at 9.45pm. Therefore, the mentioned DURATION OF 12HR only started once everybody was in the bus. I would STILL recommend it especially for the price AND experience.. but be PATIENT!!!

Over all an amazing trip. Unfortunately the organization in the beginning was crap: we got picked up and had to transfer to a real bus which is fine itself, but it took almost 1,5 h! In the Maya village you only get to see one ritual, but the food is plenty and pretty good. The Chichen Itzá are wonderful and the Cenote is, too. We had Jesus as our guide and he cares for a happy atmosphere throughout the day. The last village was a bit unnecessary, because you only get 30 min, but it was fine because everyone wanted to get home anyway. We were back in the hotel by 21:30. For this price I totally recommend, but watch out: they try to sell you stuff everywhere, not only the salesman in the street, but also from the tour agency.
