What People Are Saying About Riviera Maya

We were skeptical at first. Van was late. Guide's talent wowed us.

Miguel was more than excellent in all of his thorough and entertaining narrations of the very significant history of the Mayan people. He personalized the ancient history and left us with a great appreciation of the Biosphere concept. He is what I would call a way above average steward of all the flora and fauna in the region. We were put at ease and comfortable in all of the activities on the tour. The entire staff we encountered were probably the most hospitable of any tour group that I have met in my years of travel all over the world. This is undoubtably a 5-star operation!!

Half Day Trip Sian Kaan Muyil Reviewed by Dale, 02/11/2017

Pick up was very late yet what a fantastic day!

The day didn't start well, we were informed via email we would be picked up between 7 - 8am. We were extremely disappointed when we called at 8.05 and discovered it had been changed to 8:40 and we hadn't been informed. It ended up though that the day was so fantastic we forget all about the late pick up. Rios our guide was so positive and energetic, he really helped make our day unforgettable. Swimming in underground Cenotes, zip lining above the trees, rappelling into water, a tour of Tulum and the most beautiful beach I've ever been to (even if it was very busy) helped make this a magnificent day. I only wish I could zip-line into water more often, it was incredibly fun! The only other niggle is the prices of pictures they took of you on the day, they were quite extortionate. But other than that this day really does have everything, I would recommend it thoroughly to anyone and everyone, it’s well worth doing! Just make sure you check your pick up time.

Tulum and the Mayan Jungle: Full-Day Tour Reviewed by Arran, 07/03/2014

Loved it. It was a good idea to go early... It was very a hot day

The tour itself was great, small group, good guide: Oscar a mayan descendant. Very very good guide with all the information and the explanations. One the other hand the guys who picked us up at the hotel (Frank the english guide and Leo the driver) came late and spent over an hour complaining about it, and about other people in previous tours. It was very unprofessional.

Chichén Itzá Exclusive 7-Hour Tour with Early Access Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer, 04/10/2016

Tour guide superb, extremely long day, ex'lt Chichen tour, some flaws

The tour is designed to be 8 to 6. We were called late the day before and asked if we would leave at 7:30 am. We agreed. However, we did not expect to return to the hotel at 8:15 pm. A ten hour day was 12 hours 45 minutes. We spent 75 minutes simply picking up people and then were the last of 10 to be dropped off. And, we had to pay $20 for the pick-up. The guide, Patricia, is outstanding! She spoke in english, spanish and french. A testament to her skills and ability to conduct the tour but a bit annoying as we had to listen to everything in 3 languages. The tour should be in one and max 2 languages. The van was comfortable and the refreshments provided good. The tour of Chichen Itza was very good however I would have preferred our guide to give it. Having a second guide was odd and disruptive although he was good. We had 2 people on the tour who returned to the van more than 45 minutes late. There should be a rule if you are more than 10 minutes late the tour leaves. no more room....
