Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou kasbah - Ouarzazate - Rose Valley - Dades Gorges (You can choose between being picked up from Marrakech or from Ouarzazate). After pickup, drive along the passes through valleys and deserts while enjoying views from the Atlas Mountains. Go through the Tizi n’Tichka, a pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters. This is the highest pass in North Africa and it has become famous for it's breathtaking views. Halfway along the journey, visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou with a local guide (not inluded). Get to know this fortified city that has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then stop for lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the kasbah (cost not included). Continue towards Ouarzazate, known as the gate of the desert. Stop at the cinema studios for a short visit (optional), and then drive toward the heart of the city to discover another hidden gem, the Kasbah Taourirte, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, head to the final destination of the day: the Dades Gorges. On the road, stop at the rises valley for a short visit to a local cooperative producing the rose water and its products. After a short drive, we will arrive at the Dades Gorges, where we will spend the night in a local hotel or Riad with including dinner. Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga - camel ride After breakfast at your hotel (included ), head towards the Todra Gorges, a favorite place for rock climbers. After a visit to the gorges and the palm oasis of Todra, follow the ancient caravan trade routes to the Sahara, passing through a series of fortified villages with pre-Saharan architecture. Arrive in Erfoud, a dry, red city built of the desert by the French as a central administration city. It is known for its rich black marble fossils. After Erfoud, head to the dunes of Merzouga. Upon arrival, be welcomed with mint tea. At a Berber camp, ride a camel through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, followed by watching the sunset. After dinner, gather around the fire and enjoy the desert night, sometimes accompanied by traditional Berber drums. Day 3: Merzouga - High Atlas - Marrakech or (Fes: option not included) Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise from the Great Dune of the Sahara Desert. Return to camp to have breakfast, then ride Dromedaries, the tallest of the three camel species, or travel by (4WD option: not included) to meet your driver to start the return journey to Marrkech or Fez (depending on option selected). On the way back to Marrakech or Fez, there will be stops for lunch and breaks (lunch is optional and not included in the price).

We will stop along the way in a number of enjoyable destinations. Firstly, stop at Ifrane, the alpine-style townhome to ski slopes. Secondly, cedar forests are situated in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains to observe and feed the Barbary Monkey. After that, Moving to the popular pitstop of Midelt. ( break for lunch) Then, carrying on through the lush green Ziz Valley and making the last stop in Erfoud. Upon, arrival at Merzouga, transfer to the hotel to store your luggage. The camels will be waiting for you for a camel trekking experience (around 45 min) to enjoy the sunset on camelback to nomad tents where you will have dinner under the starry sky with a Berber folklore show (overnight desert camp). Day 2: Merzouga- Back to Fez Get up, early for the beckoning Erg Chebbi sunrise and deliciouse breakfast. Then prepare yourself to leave the camping to your distination fez with some stops on the way. (Break for lunch-on your own). Drop off. (Your hotel/riad Fez).

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Merzouga Depart Fes and pass through the winter ski resort of Ifrane, built by the French in the 1930s to resemble a Swiss village. Continue through the cedar forest of Azrou and look for the resident monkeys before your drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Wind your way through beautiful forests, mountain springs, jagged rocks and Berber villages before your descent to the Sahara Desert. Stop for lunch half-way in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Then, continue towards Merzouga taking in the panoramic views of a huge oasis of palm trees at Ziz along the way. Reaching Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, your guide will be waiting with the camels that will take you across the dunes to Erg Chebbi. Watch the sunset from the back of your camel for around 20 minutes trek to a Berber camp. Upon arrival at the desert shelter, your camels will be tethered as you are served a welcome mint tea. Enjoy dinner and relax as you look at the stars in the sky with traditional Berber music. Stay overnight in your choice of a shared, private standard, or private luxury tent. Day 2: Merzouga - Tafilalte - Fes Wake early and walk across the dunes to watch the sunrise from just behind the Massive Dunes. You can go back to your tent to freshen up and get ready for breakfast. The get ready for the drive back to Fes or Marrakech, and enjoy the passing by attractions. For the option ending in at Marrakech please note it is a longer driver for around 10 hours.

Spend the rest of the day winding your way through forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and descend to the Sahara Desert. Halfway through your journey, stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Continue to Merzouga, stopping to enjoy panoramic views of the vast Palm Trees oasis. After you arrive, head straight to the traditional Kasbah on the foot of the dunes of Erg-Chebbi. Refresh yourself with mint tea before riding a camel across the sandy dunes as the sun goes down. Spend the night in a Berber tent at a camp. Have dinner around the campfire, listen to traditional Berber music, and relax under the stars. Day 2 Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the camp before heading to Ouarzazate via the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. As you drive, admire the Kasbahs that rise like turreted sand castles along this ancient caravan trading route. Stop for lunch before going on a short hike in Todra Gorge. Next, drive through the Dadès Valley past dramatic escarpments to reach your hotel. Enjoy a delicious dinner before heading to sleep. Day 3 After breakfast, visit the town of Ouarzazate and its monuments, the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios movie studios, the largest and most famous in Africa. Have lunch in Ait Ben Haddou before visiting the area's famous Kasbah, declared a UNESCO World Heritage. As you explore, see where they filmed movies including The Gladiator, Babel, and Lawrence of Arabia. Next, continue your journey through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, the highest mountain path in North Africa. Climb from the plains up to 7,500 feet above sea level, driving through small villages and passing picturesque small waterfalls. Finish your tour in Marrakech.

***Please note that in the summer months (April - September) to ensure you have the most comfortable experience we spend one night in the Berber style camp, start our excursion to the nomads and surrounding area a bit later in the morning and stay the second night in a hotel at the edge of the dunes (Riad Chebbi or similar). Day 3: Merzouga Excursion: visit the Nomads of the Sahara Desert On day 3, experience a breathtaking sunrise atop the Erg Chebbi dunes. Then continue exploring the desert landscapes in a 4x4! Visit with local nomads & marvel at how they survive despite difficult conditions while herding across both desert sand & mountains alike! Then, begin the drive toward Marrakech, passing through the scenic Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and photo opportunities at fascinating spots.
