Full description
Your tour will begin as you arrive to the Tulum Ruins, where your guide will provide you with approximately 40 minutes of information about the area, as well as some instructions about the tour. You will then be able to enjoy almost 1 hour of free time, before advancing to Río Secreto. You will then arrive to Río Secreto’s reception and service areas where you will watch a welcome video, before being transported to the reserve. When arriving to the reserve, a guide will provide you with safety measures, as well as all of the necessary equipment. Before entering the Mayan underworld, you will tour around the paths of the nature reserve, where you will receive a Mayan welcome. You will then walk and swim through beautiful natural crystal galleries, throughout a 1-kilometer tour which will take approximately 1.5 hours. Following your subterranean experience, you will return your equipment before making a toast with Xtabentun whilst looking at pictures from the tour. Finally, you will savor a regional buffet accompanied by naturally-flavored water, before returning to the reception for transportation back to your hotel.

the underground caves were amazing. some areas where you needed to swim and could be narrow but it was well worth it. they don't allow you to take your own camera but have a photographer. the guide was brilliant. went to tulum and they gave us a guided tour and an hour free time, would have been nice having extra to look around. would highly recommend this tour

The tour was a perfect blend of Mayan culture in Tulum and adventure at the Rio Secreto. It's more than 6 hours tour but it's definitely worth it! Diana did a great job of conducting the tour in English and Alberto, the photographer at the Rio secreto, was always helpful and created a relaxed atmosphere with his jokes. The only drawback is that you have to pay a lot of money per picture for the photos you take (you are not allowed to take photos yourself), hence a star deduction. Otherwise definitely recommended!

The ruins of Tulum are beautiful, especially the sea spot. Too bad they didn't let them go down to the beach, I understood that they did. In wonderful secret river, something unique. Unfortunately, the photography service wants to steal people and you are left without a photo, because they do not let anyone enter any camera. It will be precisely to be able to pressure you to buy that robbery of photos, but no, I preferred to be left without a photo than to give in to the abuse. They should do something about it, if they lowered the price, they would surely sell them all!!
