Kiko did a great job explaining a lot about the history of Rio and the sights! This made it a really interesting trip beyond just seeing the sights and views. Really recommend it!

Luciana (Lu) was our guide and she did an amazing job, even with a challenging group (people who could not respect the meet up rules, and would delay the tour and require that the guide would babysit them). The story-telling that we got from Lu while in the tour made a huge difference, and the experience is simply much better than exploring by yourself. I strongly recommend choosing the full-day tour, the visits on the afternoon are a great addition to the tour. It was also great going to Christ the redeemer as the first thing early morning, as it got extremely crowded when we were leaving. The lunch was great! A very good churrascaria. The drive was also great. It was absolutely worth the money. I strongly recommend.

Full description

You can choose to be picked up early in the morning to head to the most incredible landmark in Rio de Janeiro: The Christ the Redeemer statue on top of Corcovado Hill and beat the crowd or relax in the Hotel or at the beach and take a later tour.

Start at Copacabana Beach and pass Botafogo Beach and the Palácio Guanabara, the official residence of the State Governor. See the old mansion houses of the coffee barons in the Laranjeiras and Cosme Velho districts. Arrive at Tijuca Forest and board the vehicles of the National Park Authority at Paineiras. Then, go to the top of the Hill to see the Christ the Redeemer statue and be amazed by the magnificent landscape.

If you wish to visit Sugar Loaf, continue along Botafogo Beach to reach Praia Vermelha. Then, board the cable car to ride up Sugarloaf Mountain for a 30-minute stop to enjoy the views and its natural beauty. You can also choose to be dropped off at the same pickup point and enjoy the rest of your day.

  •  Please note that if the road is closed due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date
  • This activity is wheelchair accessible. Please advise at time of booking
  • In the event of poor visibility on the summit of Corcovado Mountain, you will make an alternative stop at Mirante Dona Marta (362 meters), where it is usually less affected by the clouds
  • Please note that during Carnival period the afternoon part of this tour may need to be adapted and the itinerary may be changed in the last minute.
  • Importante note: during the months of December through March, considered the high season, please allow more time for a complete tour. Even doing our best to avoid lines sometimes the morning tour get extended and takes from 7 to 8 hours to finish.
  • The 9:00am tour needs a minimum amount of people to operate. Our regular hours (7:30am or 1:30pm) operate regularly
