It was a very nice tour with the most important sightseeing hot spots. The guide is very nice and friendly and speaking a lot of languages (thanks a lot Margot :-)). But dont expect to see much from Maracana, just an outside view (same for Sambadrome).

They were 1 hour late for pick up. Not possible to be picked up from your hotel. Left without transportation at sugarmontain... felt obliged to take taxi back to my hôtel. After all they provided what they could provide.the guide was multilingual and wait for every person to gather us.

Limited pickup points but fairly well spaced. Guide well organised though hampered by one guest always going missing! Dual language tour not the best as tended to converse more readily in home language which is understandable but not very helpful to visitors. The main sites were all visited and organised well missing all the queues. Three quarters of the tour day spent in the minivan, not ideal but achieved most of what Rio had on offer. Make sure you check the weather in advance and move your dates if cloudy as you’ll definitely miss the best bits. And be prepared for crowds and Prima Donnas wanting to hog the best view points for photo shoots. Lunch included in this tour was buffet style all you can eat and quite good but beware it’s only the buffet, drinks and desserts are extra. Takes the effort out of planning the main attractions and fighting queues so worth the cost, just not the best for information if that’s what you like. That’s down to the strength of the guide’s language.
