Rio: Christ the Redeemer, Selarón Steps & Sugarloaf Sunset

Great communication and well-organized. The tour team here is very on the ball and happy to WhatsApp with you to clarify anything. Sadly we had a very foggy day but Christ the Redeemer was still seeable. I had low expectations for Sugarloaf but…there was an amazing DJ playing fabulous music on the top of Urca Hill (the first cable car landing from which you take the second one up to Sugarloaf) and it was such a party vibe! Apparently this went on just past sunset from what we were told (we went on a Friday so I’m not sure if it’s a weekend thing or every night. Check with them prior to booking if you want to enjoy this). Bars and restaurants and so much fun! Also on a badly overcast day the view is actually better from Urca Hill, we discovered. But we took the cable car up to Sugarloaf where it was much colder and of course no sunset because of the weather. But it was still so great to do this tour and I highly recommend this company’s tour.

Entire day was well planned. We saw all the highlights in a decent amount of time. Best part was sugarloaf mountain. The cable card ride up the mountain was unlike anything I’ve ever done before. Definitely worth the views. Our guide Matheus knew all the ropes and was able to get us through lines quickly. He was also very knowledgeable about the city and country.
