We had an amazing day exploring Rio on this trip. Jonas was an excellent guide, he was very knowledgable, friendly and approachable. ‘Little’ George our driver was also great. Pick-up was on time and we appreciated all of the information Jonas shared with the group whilst driving. We had plenty of time to explore the Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf. Personally we thought we could have done with less time at the cathedral and more time at the steps as it’s very busy and a lot to take in. Traffic can be bad in Rio and there are long queues for the cable cars to Sugar Loaf, but as other reviews have mentioned- there is nothing the guides can do about this! Perhaps it would be worth paying more for fast pass, as we did miss sunset. But the views were still spectacular. Overall a great day, would really recommend and loved our guide.

Full description
Begin your tour with a visit to the Corcovado Mountain. After a 20-minute drive to the base of the statue of Christ the Redeemer through the Tijuca Forest, enjoy a beautiful view of the city and the surrounding landscape.
This 710-meter-tall (about 2,330 feet) statue is Brazil's main monument and a World Heritage Site.
Next, head towards the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro and Selarón Stairs before reaching Sugar Loaf by sunset. Located in the Urca neighborhood, it is one of Rio's icons.
Board a cable car and ride to the Urca Mount station before continuing on in a cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf. At the top, enjoy the beautiful and panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro.
Enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world while overlooking the Copacabana Beach from the top of Sugar Loaf.
