Pedro was an incredible guide! We were a small tour of 6 people and the depth of knowledge and respect that Pedro had was amazing. It really is an awesome way to learn about the history/culture of favelas and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Rio!

The tour was amazing. We learned so much about life in the Favela and how Favelas came to be. It was very insightful. Our guide Juliana was excellent and I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Rio. Favelas are a huge part of Brazilian life and culture so you really should visit one to fully experience life in Rio.

This tour is a MUST. We had the lovely Juliana - and Thiago was helpful throughout. It was a rainy day but I’d do it all over again - learning about Santa Martas history as well as the residents inside was so insightful. I can’t say I had an opinion on Favelas before but I know they’re noted as being unsafe, but this was not the case - it felt safer than the streets! It was so amazing and such a privilege to be able to not only learn the history but also welcomed into Thiago family home. What an amazing business he has created - and there’s so much more to learn! But you must book. AMAZING.
