Oh this was just the best thing we did whilst in Rio, our local guide was fabulous, he lived in the Favella and knew EVERYONE as we walked around. What I love about this was that he gives back to the Favella on a weekly basis which made me feel comfortable whilst wandering around these poor peoples homes. We also felt very safe. This is a must.

It was a truly amazing experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and paid personal attention to everyone The itinerary was well planned and it is the most efficient way to see all the highlights in one day

We did the tour with Juliana and it was great! She gave us a lot of information about how people live and organize in Santa Marta and the walk down the favela was really nice!! Totally recommended :)

Such an amazing experience, drinks were strong and our guide was very friendly. Met some great people will definitely be doing this again when I come back!

First It is too expensive, but it worths it in the end. Take more cash with you. It is safe and you might want to donate.
