What You'll Do
  • Enjoy a casual 2 hour bike ride around the most beautiful neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro
  • Watch, learn, cook, eat, drink and be happy during a 4 hour cooking class
  • Bike with a bilingual guide
  • Learn from professional bilingual cook
Hop on your bike and casually stroll through the best neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, and see why it's the most photogenic city in the world. Then come fill up on food and drink in an interactive Brazilian cooking class you won't want to miss!
What to Expect
Meet the small group at the centrally located meeting spot, bikes and all. Hop on your bike and start cruising toward the Lagoa. Turn right and begin the 7 km route around the lake. The tour goes at a casual pace and you'll stop at the perfectly framed spots to enjoy the scenery. The Christ the Redeemer towering over you on the right, and the lake shimmering on the left. Once you make it to the end of Leblon, there will be a special lookout point.

After the perfect photo opportunity is complete, you'll continue down along the bike path of Ipanema Beach, humming the famous "Girl from Ipanema" tune under your breath. Then the group turns toward Copacabana Promenade to continue the great vibes. Soon you'll land at the front door of the cooking class, ending the 2 hour casual bike ride. Now it's time to turn your hand to cooking your new favorite dish.

Depending on the day, you will either learn the national dish, Feijoada (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), a Black Bean Pork Stew, or the Northeastern Seafood Dish, Moqueca (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), made with white fish. Both will make your mouth water and your family and friends happy when you invite them over for dinner in the future. The professional cook is a fun loving, entertaining, Brazilian woman who is a pleasure to be with and learn from. You will enjoy Caipirinhas, an appetizer, the main dish, and a desert! It takes roughly 4 hours and you will leave completely satisfied and in a great mood!
