We were a small group, only three people. That was very pleasant. So you could ask many questions, which our guide Pietro was happy to answer. With this tour you get to know the real life of many Brazilians in a way that is also pleasant for residents. We have always felt safe, but we would never have gone into a favela alone, although we have been to very poor areas in many countries.

We had an excellent and very educational experience. Felipe was a fantastic guide and was extremely knowledgeable about the area, history and politics. As others have stated, it is not a voyeuristic tour, but more informative and done very delicately, and we felt safe the entire time. I recommend taking some extra reals to either buy some souvenirs from the local shops and/or make a donation to the local school. Highly highly recommended.

The trip was very interesting, although it took longer than it should have. We often stopped to see the sights or something special, but our guide dragged the wait and people from the tour pointed out to the guide that we could move on to the next point, because everyone was waiting only for him. Despite everything, it was interesting to meet people from the Favela, play football with the children, learn about their life and fate. An educational trip if you also know how to respect people. Don't go into their homes and take pictures of them, it's not Safari, it's life.
