Hum is situated in the center of Istria with barely 20 inhabitants. Turn your trip to Hum into a beautiful story of Istrian small towns. This hidden part of Istria is extremely welcoming to visitors. According to the legend, Hum was built with the stones left over when giants were building towns in the river Mirna valley, an area in central Istria including the wonderful hill towns of Motovun, Roc, and Bale. Despite the small number of residents, Hum has preserved the ritual of Election of the Prefect for a Year. All the men from the parish gather at the Municipal Loggia (Town Hall) to elect the village superior by carving their votes into a wooden stick. Apart from being famous for being the smallest city in the world, Hum has recently become popular for Biska, which a brandy spiced with mistletoe and made according to an old recipe originating in Hum. Every year, at the end of October,...

From here the tour extends to the Predjama Castle which reigns over the surrounding area, not far from the Postojna Cave, in the idyllic village of Predjama. The trip was very nice, we saw very beautiful places. It is definitely worth taking bathing gear and snorkels with you. The guide speaks an impressive number of languages and very fluently. The only thing that should have been pointed out was the very poor parking situation on site. The parking lot nearby is very small and you can't seem to pay with 100kn (stupid that the ATM only gives out 100kn bills and the shops around it don't change anything) For this reason, we missed the trip on the first day. The guide reacted very nicely and we were allowed to come again the next day, many thanks for that. On that day we were better prepared and parked a bit outside. Had to walk a bit, but was much more relaxed. Thank you for this unforgettable boat trip.
Well organized boat trip - very original entertainment - start of the trip with schnapps and jumping dolphins, then past the Geierfelsen to two bathing places !! - eating in an attached hotel - very successful trip - the area could be better explained during the trip through an on-board loudspeaker
The trip was more than we expected. The crew was very positive and informative, they made this trip very pleasant and unforgettable for us. I highly recommend that trip! See you next time! :)
It was a very good experience. If you've never been to something similar, it is highly recommended. You'll get the seaside experience with a very polite staff.
