I originally booked this tour for a Wednesday, only to find out that I was the only one that booked, so it was cancelled but quickly rebooked for the following Friday. Thankfully it was my last day in Riga and the tour was worth the wait. The guide was friendly, patient, and available for questions about all things Latvian; food, culture and traditions. If possible, book this on this tour on your first day in the city as it's a good introduction to Latvian food!
I was hesitant at first because it was in a food market and wasn’t sure if it would be worth it. Oh goodness were my expectations met and more! The guide was so friendly and informative. She knew exactly what stalls to go to - where if I had gone on my own I would have been overwhelmed. Her knowledge about food of Latvia was truly exceptional. The plates offered a diverse taste of true Latvian cuisine. Also I had somewhere to be at 15:00 and the guide was so accommodating. Truly cannot recommend this experience more. I promise you won’t regret it.
