Embark on a tour through the UNESCO-listed Riga Central Market. Explore 5 former zeppelin hangars and learn about local Latvian food and shopping habits on the market. A knowledgeable local tour guide will lead you through the market and provide you with an introduction to Latvian food, sharing the origins of local food traditions. Throughout the tour, you will receive a wide range of local specialties which include local bread, several kinds of cheese, freshly smoked meat, several types of fish, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, and delicious local sweets. Really liked the opportunity to hear about and try foods from a genuine local perspective. Una was very informative, well organised, and led our group of 12 people through the different market halls, making sure we got to experience many things. No need to eat before tour as there was more than enough to sample. A unique experience.

The tour was excellent. Guna was a very entertaining guide, which was a big plus! I'm not so sure about the food itself, but that is a matter of taste. However, it was a great way to get a sampling of the Latvian kitchen, and walking around the Central Market itself (located in old Zeppelin hangars) is a tour by itself. We had great fun!
