The boat was full, be careful to board as soon as possible to have seats side by side! The crossing to Symi was hectic, many people felt bad and it was a little scary: the ship is a huge catamaran, this may explain this discomfort. But on the way back it was quieter. On site (in Symi), we had 4 hours to visit. You have to choose either to go to the beach or to visit the old village on the heights, but doing both seems impossible. The visit to the monastery seemed to us without much interest. Helpful and smiling crew, air-conditioned boat.

Symi is really worth a visit, we deliberately chose this tour because the ship made a 1-hour break at the beautiful monastery on the return trip. We were back in Rhodes punctually at 5:00 p.m. If you want to stay in Symi a little longer then you should choose a later time. Since the ferries left Symi at 2:30 p.m.

Overall I’d rate this an excellent trip. I would though want to make sure that attendees are aware there is not time to get a ‘water taxi’… however, you don’t need one! There is a beautiful cove and beach with cafe just beyond the clock tower on the opposite side of the port to the ferry drop off point.
