Full description
On this tour, you will visit the stunningly beautiful village of Lindos by boat. On the way back, the boat will make stops at Anthony Quinn's Bay for photos and both Tsambika's and Lindos's emerald bays so you can relax and go for a swim. The boat departs at 9:00 AM from Mandraki port and returns at approximately 5:30 PM. Lindos is a magnificent acropolis on a imposing rock. On the top of the rock stands a centuries-old acropolis, proudly overlooking the archipelagos. The acropolis bears silent witness to Lindos’ glorious past, a major naval power of ancient times which reputedly had a population of 17,000. The view of Lindos village, with its cubic houses sprawling down the hillside under the acropolis, is one of the most photographed scenes in Greece. The whitewashed labyrinth of little alleyways was deliberately designed to confuse pirates, today this layout makes wandering around the town a real adventure. According to tradition the temple of Athena was founded by Danaus, who came to the island with his 50 daughters to escape the rage of the goddess Hera. Follow the same ancient path that the ancient Rhodians took. When you reach the acropolis you will see a 280 BC relief of a ancient Greek warship carved into the rock, an indication of the naval power of ancient Rhodes.

Arrived at the port and had trouble locating the boat. When we eventually found the boat with 2 min to departure time, it had already left the dock. We had to get a bus to Lindos and we were allowed to return to Rodos on the boat. Our return trip was pleasent with good facilities and a swim stop included. The staff were friendly and welcoming and apart i would reccomend the trip. I would suggest that the docking locations be numbere with adequate sinage to along the docs prevent this happening.

Excellent boat trip and good value for money

Had a fantastic day out on the boat and the weather on the day was fantastic! Loved the swimming off the boat and loved sightseeing and snorkelling in Lindos! Would 100% do again, fantastic value for money! However the only downside would be how crowded the boat gets. Laying on a sun lounger with people sat on the floor directly at the end wasn’t for me, thankfully the top deck was much quieter once the wind picked up heading back in to Rhodes!

Good for sightseeing

Nice trip, very full boat, people lye anywhere there’s space when the beds are full. Boat leaves at 9 starts boarding at 8! We got there at 8 and within a few minutes the sun beds were full. Stopped a couple of times for a swim which is great if you like that thing. If not swimming then it’s a case of waiting. The 3 hours in Lindos were actually 2hrs 45 minutes! It’s a long way up to the ruins, which cost 12 euros each. There are small old donkeys that you can ride on starting at 8 euros each way. It would be better to get a map to show the way up as there are no signs telling you the way. We followed the trail of donkey Poo!! shopping is dearer here, you can but a lot of the things else where cheaper. It was a good trip, food and drinks on board aren’t to pricey, but you can take your own. Personally I’d have rather had more time in Lindos than stopping to swim. You can swim at Lindos in the Crystal clear water. Beautiful place.
