Hop into a boat in Koblenz and take a tour of the Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the highest density of historic palaces and castles in the world. Once in the boat, set off along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Rhine, the gateway to the World Heritage Site of the Lower Middle Rhine Valley. Pass various castles and palaces on the ride, including Electoral Palace, Lahneck Castle, and Stolzenfels Castle. See the historic wine village, and admire the Lahn estuary's Johanneskloster and All Saints Chapel. Take in views of Deutsches Eck, Martinsburg, Marksburg, and more in the verdant riverside scenery. During the tour, onboard catering is available for you to grab a drink or bite to eat. In Braubach there is the possibility to interrupt the tour and visit Marksburg Castle. A later ship will take them back to Koblenz. You are welcome to bring your dog on the ship.

During your trip, the audio commentary will explain all the sights and important town historical events in both German and English.    You are welcome to enjoy snacks and drinks offered a la carte.

Welcome aboard the comfortable and exclusive ship La Paloma for a cruise in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site. On no other stretch of the Rhine are the castles and palaces so beautifully strung together. On board the La Paloma, you can relax and enjoy the view. Start in Koblenz and first sail a short distance down the Rhine with a view of the Rhine in front of Koblenz, the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, and the famous "Deutsche Eck" (German Corner). At the mouth of the Moselle, the ship turns around and makes its way up the Rhine to Braubach to Marksburg Castle. The cruise takes you past the Electoral Palace of Koblenz (Kufürstliches Schloss Koblenz), the Koblenz Brewery, Lahneck Castle, Stolzenfels Castle and the Königsstuhl in Rhens. In Braubach (castle Marksburg) the ship turns around and sails back to Koblenz.

Come with us to one of the most beautiful destinations in Germany: The Middle Rhine Valley. The very spectacular section of the river from Rüdesheim to St. Goarshausen is UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see a good part of it. Tour departure and return place is Frankfurt. We leave by bus or van and you will be accompanied by an English speaking tour guide throughout the day. Only an hour away from the hectic of urban living you will enjoy a magnificent panorama: the winding loops of the lower mountain ranges, the small, traditional villages, the steep terraces of the vineyards and so many medieval castles on both sides of the banks. We will take a lovely and relaxing ride on one of the steamer boats on the river. It is just one of the highlights during this excursion with an average duration of 1,5 hours. Close to the river edge: Our restaurant for lunch, an extraordinary , richly decorated place and a good choice for a light or hearty meal in between. Your guide will let you know more. Also included: just a little wine tasting in a cosy tavern next to the restaurant where you will also learn about the history of wine growing in this particular region which dates back to ancient Roman times. In summer time we also offer to join an “open air” cable car ride from the top of the hills into the valley - a short but great experience. The ride is not included in the tour price and can be booked on the spot against a small fee. And finally: if time allows we will also drive up the hills as well for a view over the Rhine valley - a perfect chance to take home some photos home from this beautiful landscape. During low season or in case of high / low waters or other unforeseen circumstances the boats may not operate. In this case we will visit a castle instead.

The 1-hour roundtrip starts and ends in Cochem right below Skagerrak Bridge at these times: 11:00, 12:30, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17.30. If you want you can get off in Ernst an go back to Cochem on the next roundtrip. As you enter our impressive ship "Treis-Karden" which provides space for up to 400 passengers on three levels including a sun deck you will find a suitable seat with a nice view for you. Inside or outside. From our attentive staff you can purchase soft drinks, coffee specialities, beer and excellent wines which have grown on the mountains and hills around Cochem and moreover some snacks, cake or icecream. First the trip will take you downstream through two bridges then on your way back you get the full on-coming view on the Reichsburg (castle) Cochem. The ship glides along the river banks of Cochem where you can see the whole arrangement of houses, hotels and restaurants from the water-side underneath the castle. You will pass the steep and windy mountain Brauselay. With lots of vinyards on both side the boat comes to Ernst. Here you have the opportunity to get off the boat (just tell our staff, n/a in Winter time) and epxlore the lovely village of Ernst, with lots of opportunities to try and shop wine. There are often various festivities on weekends. The ships turns again on the same way back to Cochem where you get to see the Reichsburg Cochem form another point of view. After 1 hour you are back in Cochem where the tour started.
