Full description
Iceland's Geldingadalur Valley now had multiple craters erupting for the first time in 7000 years, the Fagradalsfjall Volcano crater being the most active. Start with a pickup in Reykjavík before heading on a scenic drive surrounded by breathtaking views. The first stop is Lake Kleifarvatn, where you will enjoy scenes of the black beach and surrounding mountains. Next, get your hiking gear on and hike towards Geldingadalur Valley to see live volcanic activity coming from Fagradalsfjall Volcano. You will be able to enjoy your packed lunch on the hike while seeing lava flowing from the volcano. After, drive by the Reykjanes Peninsula, where the volcanos of the past have created land formations now covered by soft green lava moss. You'll then get to see and feel the Gunnuhver Hot Springs, where boiling waters and steam will reignite your senses. Only a 5-minute drive from there, you'll stop by the photogenic Reykjanes Lighthouse and the Valhnúkamöl Boulder Ridge to admire the cliffs and sea stacks formed by the Atlantic Ocean. The last stop before heading back to Reykjavík is the Bridge Between Continents where earthquakes have made a rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. It's a fun photo opportunity and a chance to walk between the continents.

Tommy, our guide, was great! Very knowledgeable and cares for the safety of his group. We didnt have the best weather but it was still a great time and we would do it again. We didnt have great visibility seeing the volcano so he cut that short and let us add a stop or two on the trip. Very worth it!!

It was a great trip where we got time to the different locations and the highlight was of course the volcano which we reached before it went to sleep. The guide Thomas was funny with Icelandic humor and told funny story. The driver drove well and safely through the country. I recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see a little of everything in one day.

We just had a successful trip while fresh lava was coming out of the volcano. An unforgettable experience, despite the unfavorable weather. After the adventure with the volcano, we had the opportunity to get to know the charms of the Reykjanes peninsula. Despite the fog and rain, we managed to see and enjoy the wonderful views of most attractions. We did not go to the lake due to the above-mentioned unfavorable weather conditions, which the guide did not inform us about (only after asking), which deserves a small minus. However, this is nothing in relation to all the attractions experienced :)
