The Amelia Rose was very comfortable with plenty of room inside and out. Very little seating outside but warm and cosy inside. Clean toilets and useful bar. Good commentary- just the right amount of information without constant talk. We went on a very wet day but worth it as watched one humpback for around 30-40 minutes and another for a short period.
Got picked up at hotel & taken to the harbour. Fantastic trip seeing at least 6 humpbacks, minke whale & 2 pods of harbour porpoises. Sadly the return trip to the hotel didn’t happen after waiting more than an hour the kind gentleman at Harbour House pub phoned me a cab. The yacht trip was excellent though

Know before you go

- The best time for whale watching in Iceland is during the summer months (from April until September)
- The tour is dependent on weather conditions, the captain will make the decision on whether to sail, always keeping in mind passengers' safety and comfort
- The tour length varies, the whales may be close to the harbor or far out to sea so the tour length can be between 2.5-hours to 3.5-hours
- The tour takes place in wild nature, so sightings can’t be predicted or guaranteed. If there are no sightings, we don’t provide refunds but offer a free return ticket (valid for up to three years, subject to availability).
