Full description

Set sail from Reykjavik’s old harbor in style on the Andrea, the largest whale-watching ship in Iceland. Spot minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises, humpback whales, and occasionally orcas with the help of an experienced guide.

Enjoy a whale-watching experience with a special educational focus, and ask your guide any questions you have. Learn about the whales and other sea life from your guide's knowledge, an app available in 5 languages, and the microscope, baleens, and whale teeth on board.

Move around the Andrea's spacious public viewing areas, and admire the fantastic 360-degree views of the environment from the deck. Stay warm with included overalls and heated indoor seating. In the summer, you can also join an express tour on a faster express whale watching boat.

If you get cold or hungry, there’s also an onboard café serving a range of refreshments, as well as a souvenir shop. And should you fail to see any of the spectacular creatures from the deep, you'll receive a complimentary ticket to sail again.

Iga, our host was fantastic, well-informed, warm and chatty and not a little eccentric. Several times she sang to the whales through the PA system and every time they appeared near the boat. I have no idea what sleight of hand she was using, but we saw 3 humpbacks repeatedly over 30 minutes. Magical excursion that I’ll never forget. Thanks Iga!

Nice excursion in the open sea. We had the chance to observe dolphins and whales! It s really impressive to see these animals in their natural habitat! The boat cuts the engines and leaves room for the spectacle of the animal without disturbing it, so it's great. The price remains high however, a welcome coffee would be appreciated. However, be careful with those who are seasick. Even with calm seas, things are moving so plan ahead!

An amazing day out at sea! We were very lucky that we had a clear, calm and sunny day in Reykjavik - perfect weather to see the whales! We saw 2 minke whales, dolphins and 3 humpback whales! Iga was a great tour guide with lots of knowledge about the whales! Highly recommend
