We were extremely lucky, after a couple of hours we had almost given up when the lights put on a fantastic show for us. Nobody can predict nature so there is obviously no guarantee, but we would have been disappointed had we ot seen them as the trip is not cheap, but it would have been no fault of the company. Everything was very efficient and pickups etc were punctual. The hot chocolate & chocolate snack were lovely. If I had to complain the only minor thing was that our guide was very softly spoken and we struggled to hear him on the bus tanoy but we should have asked him to turn up the volume! What we did catch showed he was very knowledgeable and helpful. A massive bonus was being able to download his excellent photos which were sent via a link in an email a couple of days later, as ours were rubbish!

After 2 failed attempts we were 3rd time lucky seeing the aurora! The smaller groups are great-more personal and more flexible. Obviously the lights can’t be guaranteed but you get multiple attempts to take the tour if they don’t show and throughout the tour every effort was made to find them. And we were so excited to see them (however light and brief) on our last night in Iceland-perfect end to an amazing trip!

Guide was knowledgable and friendly. Bus was running late due to an issue with the bus, but kept us in the loop and still managed to catch the lights which was great. Much better as a small group as less waiting around for people, would definitely recommend BusTravel to anyone
