Full description

Head out on the Golden Circle Classic full-day tour. This excursion is popular for a good reason – it's the best introduction to some of the best-known historical sites and natural phenomena in Iceland.

Marvel at the unique landscapes of the country. With the commentary of a knowledgeable guide, you will find out why Iceland is called the "Land of Fire and Ice."

Start your exploration in the historic Þingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was founded in 930 AD. Þingvellir is a unique geological site where you can see the boundary between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Continue to the Gullfoss Waterfall ("Golden Falls") and feel the cascade's spray as the waters of the glacial Hvítá River plummet down into a 32-meter deep canyon crevice.

Be amazed by the bursting waters of the Geysir Hot Spring Area. Strokkur puts on a show every 8 minutes, sprouting a fountain of steaming water 30 meters up into the air.

On the drive back to your starting point in Reykjavik, admire the otherworldly landscape of Southwest Iceland while your guide tells you more stories about this fascinating country.

This was our first visit to beautiful Iceland and Reykjavik and we were blown away by the stops on this excursion, a true demonstration of nature at it's most powerful and wonderful. Finding and boarding the coach at the cruise port was quite disorganised with people pushing and shoving but in fairness it was a very busy day with 2 large cruise ships in dock and everyone descending at the coach area at the same time. Once on the coach the guide was excellent and gave us lots of interesting information along the journey. All 3 stops were fantastic and we had ample time to explore with 1 hour at each place. All stops had clean toilets with places to eat if required. We were back in good time to get onto the ship.

very well conducted tour. very well spaced out and timed between destinations. The guide, Darren, was excellent. there only downside was there was no wifi. when I asked the driver he said the wifi reception was bad in the area, but the other bus Reykjavik excursions, constantly had wifi. decent trip overall.

The tour was very well planned and we were able to see the main attractions in the Golden Circle. However, the experience felt a bit rushed and I felt like the guide talked a bit too much about being from Iceland and less about the country itself and its history. I also would've enjoyed it if we would've had more downtime on the bus and more guidance in the actual sites. The guide talked a lot on the bus and did not guide us at all once we were in the sites.
