Continue to Skógafoss to marvel at the 60-meter drop. Pass the black sand beaches of the southern coast and enjoy the power of the sea.

Visit the glacier snout of Sólheimajökull to see an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull. Admire the ever-changing feat of nature up-close. Then, look at the basalt sea stacks in the town of Vik, Iceland’s southernmost village just south of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, before returning to Reykjavik.

This trip was absolutely incredible. We saw volcanic beaches, stunning glaciers, insane waterfalls and had a fantastic local guide who gave us all the information we needed but also lots of laughs along the way. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who appreciates natural beauty and has a slightly adventurous side! This was our favourite excursion of the whole time we were in Iceland!

Beautiful experience, our guide was brilliant, very knowledgeable and friendly. If I had to pinpoint the thing that I disliked that would be the fact that we did not go to Vik which is one of the reasons I booked this tour. Besides that, the landscape was magnificent, would definitely recommend.

Our tour provider was BusTravel Iceland, prior to our trip we were sent plenty of information regarding the coach that would pick us up. The start of the tour was a bit disorganised, we were picked up from bus stop 10 as described, but then made to swap coaches for the tour we had actually booked. But we fully enjoyed the rest of the trip, the locations we visited were amazing! The glacier walk was probably the highlight of our week in Iceland! Would definitely recommend this trip just to see the glacier alone! Only other complaint is that our guide didn’t give us much time at each stop, especially the waterfalls, we would of loved just a bit more time to fully explore each location.
