Located in Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Silfra is the only place on Earth where you can dive between the continental plates of North America and Eurasia. Immerse yourself in crystal-clear glacial waters with visibility exceeding 100 meters, and experience the surreal sensation of drifting through this geological wonder. This small-group tour offers an intimate and personalized adventure, complete with all necessary diving equipment and optional round-trip transportation from Reykjavík.

Meeting point

If you do not require pick-up from Reykjavík, then meet at the Silfra parking lot. Directions to park: park at Thingvellir Parking P5 (can be found on google maps). This is the 2nd car park, 400m further down the road from where you'll be diving from. Directions to meet your guide: Walk 400m back along the road until you reach the car park with all the snorkel and dive vans. Your guide will be waiting here. There are other companies at the site so make sure you go to the right one and show your voucher. Please be ready to meet your guide 15 minutes prior to tour start time.

Know before you go

  • Guests must present a dry suit certification card, or a logbook showing that you have completed a minimum of 10 previous dry suit dives (signed by a dive professional).
  • Certain medical conditions disqualify guests from participating in the tour, while others require official doctor's clearance.
  • Participants ages 60 and over must bring a signed doctors note.
  • Dry suits are restricted to the following sizes: HEIGHT: 155cm (5') - 200 cm (6'6) WEIGHT: 45kg (100 lbs) - 120kg (265 lbs)
  • Glasses cannot be warn under the mask. Please bring contact lenses if required.

Very fun. I’ve never swam in cleaner water. The guides were all very helpful and trustworthy. The blue water almost makes it look like a fantasy land. I wasn’t cold for too long. If you want a nice relaxing dive, especially if you only just started diving, I’d recommend this :)
