The horse riding tour with Begga and Sveinn was one of the best experiences of our Iceland trip. They were ever so kind and joyful. We had very little riding experience but they made us feel comfortable. The scenery was beautiful and they took loads of amazing photos. As we were on our honeymoon, they even gave us a horseshoe to keep for good luck. Thank you!! We loved the tölt!

Full description

Experience the natural beauty of Iceland on about 2-hour horse experience. Enjoy the pristine landscape, carved by glaciers and volcanoes.

Upon arrival at the stables, a 10-minute drive from Reykjavik, receive a briefing on handling your horse so you feel like a natural in the saddle. Your guide will ensure that you are comfortable at all times and answer any questions you may have throughout the ride.

The lovely Icelandic horses will be assigned to best suit each participant's level of experience, and each ride will last between 1 and 1.5 hours. All riding gear will be provided, including rain clothes, overalls, and gloves.

Enjoy a contrasting scenery of beautiful mountains and the vast Icelandic wilderness, all from the top of a horse!

There is a 12 years age limit on the tour.

When you arrive there is a boom barrier gate at the parking place (with many horse trailers), just wait there until we open up the gate.

Begga (the owner) is amazingly knowledgable, although I had bought this as a gift for my husband who is an experienced rider, I was not, however, her guidance and lessons on how to ride were perfectly explained & enjoyable, with jokes being plentiful. We enjoyed every last minute of our time with Begga and her amazingly friendly staff. Although there are loads of stables that offer riding, this should be the only one that anyone visiting Iceland should go to. Thank you for making my Husbands Birthday, such an enjoyable one.
