What to Expect
Explore the south of Iceland on a private full-day tour that can be tailored to your interests. Marvel at a landscape of stunning waterfalls, black sand beaches, and rocks where sea birds take a rest!
Depart Reykjavik for the south coast, and travel towards the town of Vik. Traveling by private car, you will stop at the dramatic waterfalls of Skogarfoss and Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the cascades. Then, drive past the Eyjafjallajokull volcano, the mountain that erupted in 2010 bring air traffic to a standstill.
Arrive at the black sand beaches and basalt columns of Vik and experience the power of the North Atlantic Ocean. In summer, visit Dyrholaey (Keyhole Island) to see puffins on the cliffs. There is also the chance to walk up to a glacier and experience the feat of Mother Nature up-close.
Some stops can be substituted for others, depending on the weather and general mood of your group. A stop for lunch and snacks is included (own expense) somewhere in the magnificent landscapes of the south.
