The route we took was so pretty. Riding meant that we couldn’t be on our phones, so we just got to enjoy everything we saw! I will say that the horses didn’t look like they had been brushed at all before being saddled, which can be uncomfortable for the horse (I grew up riding, but I don’t honestly remember too much about grooming needs if this isn’t correct). The ride was enjoyable, but my forever criticism of trail rides is that they don’t canter instead of trotting. I think the smoother gaits are a much easier ride for any beginners because the bouncing can make you lose balance if your form is off. Anyways, the scenery is beautiful and the ride is great for a rider with a little bit of experience!

Saw a completely different view of the landscape just outside Reykjavik. The horses were well fed, well mannered and we'll managed. Marie, our Danish lead guide was delightful company as well as being informative, welcoming and professional. Warm outer clothing was provided for our unique ride in the snow a.idsy the red la a rock formations. Would not hesitate to recommend this unique activity in Iceland.

Absolutely breath taking seeing the sun rise and riding through the forests and lava fields! The guides take amazing care of you and match you to a pony that suits you.
