Go whale watching under the beautiful midnight sun during Iceland's summer months of nearly 24-hour daylight. Admire the special glow of the evening sun reflecting off the waters of the North Atlantic as your English-speaking guide helps you to spot these magnificent creatures. Set sail from Reykjavík's Old Harbor at 9 PM on Rósin, a custom-built boat for whale watching tours in Iceland. Kit yourself out in included warm overalls to stay comfortable during your trip, and enjoy the boat's facilities, such as indoor and outdoor viewing decks, 2 restrooms, and a snack bar. Spend between 2-2.5 hours looking for whales with an experienced guide. The 4 most common species seen in Faxaflói Bay are humpback whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises, and minke whales. Finally, return to the harbor just before midnight.

It was exciting!! Take the anti-sickness pill if you want to be able to move back and forth, to follow the whale whilst the boat is moving. It was a great night! TIP: I have my binoculars and a camera attach to it, and that levelled up my experience!💕

Superbe journée sur la côte sud avec de superbes vues sur les cascades et des anecdotes amusantes de la guide touristique Joanna ! Je recommanderais la visite si vous ne disposez que de peu de temps en Islande, mais sachez simplement qu'il s'agit d'un grand groupe de touristes, vous devez donc être respectueux des horaires des autres et vous ne passez pas beaucoup de temps sur chaque site. Je pense que la tournée s'est arrêtée trop souvent pour manger, car ils se sont arrêtés au début de la tournée, puis à nouveau pour le déjeuner. J'aurais plutôt plus de temps sur les sites et moins de temps à attendre pour obtenir de la nourriture.

Wir hatten uns für diesen Ausflug um 21 Uhr sehr kurzfristig entschieden, da es schon den ganzen Tag wunderschönes sonniges Wetter war. Wir waren in einem eher kleineren etwas älteren Boot unterwegs. Es hat alles gepasst. Es waren nicht so viele Leute an Bord und somit hatten alle genug Platz draussen an Deck. Im unteren Teil gab es Sitzplätze drinnen, die wir nicht genutzt haben. Es war eine wunderschöne Stimmung. Wir konnten die Mitternachtssonne untergehen sehen. Wir haben mehrmals einen Zwergwal auftauchen sehen und konnten Papageitaucher und andere Vögel beobachten.
