It was nice. Almost the whole time we were traveling by bus the guide was telling about the country, view that we see through our windows, about our destination - it was nice knowing some facts. We had options to hike with the guide or on your own. The view was breathtaking and we had plenty of time to hike or stop to rest. I highly recommend this activity.

Despite the eruption of volcano creates so much havoc, and we have no control over the nature, we were lucky to witness it the day we hiked there. It was a highlight of my entire Iceland trip. Volcano’s fiery eruptions and the hot lava flowing down the hill was a sight to behold. (Again, you’ve got to be lucky to witness it. Doesn’t erupt all the time).
