Small group tour- a little bit hard to find at first. Our guide was super nice. However, he didn't really show us any famous sights or historical sights in Reykjavik. It was all funny stories about elves and trolls which got a bit boring by the end. All in all, it was a fun hour and a half tour for good value, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Not for kids though- definitely an adult tour.

Our guide Esther was adorable, her elven stories mixed with personal anecdotes about the history of Iceland and Icelandic folklore fascinated our two teenagers. This was our first visit to Iceland and we are very grateful to him for answering our questions about Iceland's past in addition to the guided tour. If you’re looking for something different to do in Iceland and would like to go off the beaten track, we really recommend this mythical walk. Snædís was our host and she really brought the stories to life and made the tour fun. This is not only a great way to hear some stories past down for many generations, but an interesting look into the Icelandic way of thinking and how the stories affect current day practices. After all, Icelanders are famous for their story telling ever since the Viking times.
