Full description

Come aboard a luxurious yacht and see the incredible wealth of marine wildlife that lives in the waters just off the shores of Reykjavík City. See some of Iceland's majestic whales, dolphins, and porpoises on this small-group whale watching tour.

Your ship sets sail from Reykjavík's Old Harbor and sails among the small islands in the Faxaflói Bay, as well as along the coast of Reykjavík, providing you with fantastic views of the city as you search for the wildlife in the water.

Spot minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and porpoises. If you're lucky, you may even see a few orcas (also known as killer whales) as well as a wealth of other species.

Make the most of three panoramic deck areas aboard the luxury yacht, moving about the decks to get the best views and take advantage of great photo opportunities. The decks are also partially covered, providing some shelter from wind and rain.

The professional team on board the Amelia Rose is very experienced in spotting whales and is dedicated to making sure you leave with a smile.

And the limited number of visitors on this small-group tour means that the decks won't be overcrowded either, so you'll enjoy a more personal, meaningful, and memorable experience.

Amelia Rose is designed as an offshore vessel, making it better adapted to take on the turbulent waves of Iceland's waters, resulting in a smoother sail with less probability of passengers experiencing nausea or seasickness.

This was such a great experience. We had our two children (3 &4) with us and did not want to be stuffed on a boat with 100 people during these pandemic times. We opted for this yacht as well since it seemed more comfortable and allowed us to get out of the cold if we wanted. It did that and more. The woman who told us about the whales and dolphins and helped point them out and was so funny. She was nice and answered questions and it wasn't scripted, it was natural like a conversation. We enjoyed the easy going nature. We loved that there were refreshments to buy and lots of places to watch for whales as well as get in from the cold while heading back. It was not packed which we appreciated. We also got very lucky and here first week in October got to see dolphins, humpback whales and I didnt see it, but apparently minke whales too! The boat was fun to explore too, it was beautiful!

We went out, a little cold, but this is Iceland. We went out for a few miles and out of three boats we found the whales and dolphins. We managed to see a Mink, HumpBack, and 2 species of dolphins. The trip was well worth it and we got great pictures. The crew was superb and very helpful as well.

The whale watching tour was very comfortable. The yacht had a warm interior cabin, cozy seating, and a small bar with some spirits. It was nice to stay dry inside while it was raining outside. When we approached some whales we stepped outside for a better view. The guides were very friendly and made the experience memorable.
