Full description
Get picked up in Reykjavík and set off for the experience of a lifetime, as you hike to a volcanic eruption at Geldingadalur.
Head for the volcanic eruption at the Reykjanes Peninsula – where the first volcanic activity in the area for about 800 years is happening. The lava slowly coming up to the surface gives you a chance to experience this amazing natural wonder from a close distance.
Our guide will hike up to the volcano with you and tell you all you need to know about the new Fagradalsfjall volcano. The hike is about 1.5-2 hours and has a moderate level of difficulty.
Once you arrive, you'll get the chance to see the hot flowing lava of the volcanic eruption. We'll hike around the Fagradalsfjall volcano until we find the best location to sit and enjoy the view, before heading back down.
