Very good tour! It is better to go in one of these speedboats, you can see everything much better than from a big boat. The pity is that I only saw Minke whales, I would have liked to see humpbacks..... maybe it's in another area. It gives me that around Reykjavik there are only minke. The agency staff, a 10

Great experience

We had a great time during this trip, the guides were very friendly and helpful finding whales and dolphins but also respectful with them. We had the great luck to spot a huge pod of pilote whales (grind whales) which was a unique experience, we also saw some harbour porpoises and dolphins. Even if we wouldn't have seen any whales, the rib boat ride would have been a highlight on its own! Especially the high speed phases and the heavy curves at the end of the tour were very entertaining! I would definitely recommend this tour with the Katla team and would do this again the next time I visit Reykjavík.

An exhilarating speed boat ride

A very accommodating and nice father-son tandem. We were given a bandana as a souvenir. We put on a floating device jumpsuits , gloves and goggles. The ocean was calm , overcast sky with intermittent drizzle but was not heavy enough to spoil our trip. Our rubber boat accelerated to the fullest and I started to feel butterfly on my stomach . It was fun and especially when we spotted a few dolphins and minke whale. We also sighted a couple of puffins during our trip. I highly recommend whale watching tour by speedboat by any chance. It was definitely an awesome experience and I will take this tour again at anytime.
