The providers got in contact with us the day that we were supposed to go out to tell us the tour had been cancelled. They offered a back up plan which we turned down as we were too tired and would rather just do the boat trip. The next day, the boat trip went ahead and we saw the northern lights! It was super cloudy so we were very lucky to have seen them. The tour guide was amazing and very knowledgable. The captain deemed the trip as unsuccessful so we did get a free ticket for another day but didn’t manage to go again due to bad weather. Wear thermals if going during winter!! We got caught in the snow while out at sea and it was freezing cold. They didn’t cut the tour short and kept going until the time was up so definitely go prepared! Worth the cold though :)

We got a table inside and we're able to stay warm. When the time came, we were told that the northern lights were visible. We went outside and saw a dazzling display. We went inside as we got cold and back out to take more pictures. It was at the top of the bucket list for both me and my wife. It was a magical night that we will never forget.
