Full description
Start your tour with a convenient pick-up service from your centrally located hotel. After a short meet and greet, you will hop in your tour vehicle and set-off for your destination that evening. Your tour guides, with the close consultation of Meteorologists, will pick a new and unique location every night. Each tour will take you to a location based on the reports of the Meteorologists, thus giving you the best chance of witnessing this fleeting, magical display.  During your tour, your guide will offer you information and great insight into the Icelandic culture, nature, history and the Icelandic people. You will also get the chance to sip on a hot chocolate, a sure treat to warm up the blood on those frosty winter nights. You'll also get to snack on traditional Icelandic pastries. Each night, your tour guide will pick a location that is as far from light pollution as possible, the Northern lights are best viewed in pitch black. This tour is only available during the winter months as the amount of light during the summer months ruins your chances of seeing them. The probability of seeing the lights is always fair however your tour guides will cancel the tour if there is little chance of catching them. However, your voucher will still be redeemable on another date free of charge in the event of cancellation.

Punctual pick-up, friendly guide who gave us many explanations about the northern lights, but also about Iceland and the Icelanders in general. So we were informed about trolls, elves and witches! Great place with few other tourists to enjoy the northern lights, the hot chocolate and the delicious cinnamon rolls. There were also tips for taking photos, GREAT!

I am disabled the mini bus could have a mobile step to help you in. Fay ( not spelt right) was fantastic with helping me in and out even let me sit in the bus until the lights came out, which they did. The lights were marvellous and fantastic thecicing on the cake. The hot chocolate and cinnamon roll was just want you needed to warm you up.

Our guide was great, the Cinnabon’s were decent although cold, and the hot chocolate was welcome considering how cold it was. Our tour was canceled two times due to weather, when we finally got out on the third night it was exceptionally windy and cold. We were able to see the lights through the phone although not to the naked eye. All in all it was a really good tour. But I would recommend for anybody going in January to dress very warm.
