What People Are Saying About Reykjavik
The tour is really cool and give you access to litres of great beer. The location is nice but what really makes the tour worth doing is Sylvia, the amazing tour guide. She knows a lot about the history of beer in Iceland and is just too funny. Everyone was laughing his heart out during the tour.
This was a special Tour whale watching & Golden circle the Grayline company picked us up from the ship and bring us back to the ship/harbor! The Tour was excellent , our Guide "Wil-Willi" explain us everthing from Iceland at it was very intresting ! Thanks a lot to "willi and lulli (chauffeur) for this great Tour Day!!!!!!!!!
I was picked up 30 minutes after I was supposed to be but once I was transferred to the bus station we left straight away. The staff aboard the whale watching boat were really helpful and informative. We only got to see one minki whale and a small school of dolphins from about 150 meters away. But this was not from lack of trying from the crew, just luck of the draw. After the 3 boat trip we were informed we were to wait to be picked up presently to be transferred to the bus station where we could grab something to eat before heading off on the second half of the trip. We waited over 30 minutes and when the bus did arrive we sat at the harbour for another 5-10 minutes for no apparent reason. When we finally arrived we asked about getting a sandwich at the place there but were informed by a arrogant tour guide that there was no time to eat and we couldn't east on the bus..... this tour guide was also wiping crumbs from his mouth after apparently just eating his lunch on the bus. My son and I have taken brewery tours in several countries but never have had as much fun on one as on the taste of saga. The bus going there was absolutely silent. On the way back the chatter was loud and incessant a tribute to both the beer and our presenter. Highly recommended.
One of the best brewery tours we ever attended. Instead of a tour of the machinery, we sat down and got right to the beer. We toured Iceland's fascinating history with beer while sitting a drinking 4 to 5 drinks and two shots. Our guide, Sylvia was phenomenal and entertaining. And the tastings were not tastings but whole drafts in many cases. This might have ruined brewery tours for us.
