Full description

Buckle up for this 8-hour Golden Circle tour by bus from Reykjavik. Adventure on this famed loop road in southwest Iceland, home to trolls and elves and some of the country's most significant geological wonders.

Start in the geothermal Geysir Hot Spring Area. Watch the gurgling pools of water and wait in anticipation as the active Strokkur spouts steaming water 30 meters into the air every 8 minutes.

Continue to the Gullfoss Waterfall ("Golden Falls") – one of Iceland's iconic and wild landmarks that cascades through a vast canyon. Feel the spray of the waters of the glacial Hvítá River as the falls plummet down into a 32-meter deep crevice.

Stop at Þingvellir National Park and stand on The Bridge Between the Continents overlooking the rift valley. The split gorge is where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates pull apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year.

See more of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the jagged outcrop of the Rock of Law – the seat of the Vikings is said to be the oldest parliament in the world.

Complete the loop of natural sites with a final stop at Lake Kerið, set within the steep slopes of a red volcanic crater. Pass through the Icelandic farms of the south before returning to your original starting point in Reykjavik.

The tour was interesting, with some great sights. It was a full day, but with several stops so it didn't feel like a lot of travelling. The tour guide was very knowledgeable but a bit officious. I felt like she could have left more time without her talking so that we could enjoy the scenery in peace a bit more

Monika was an excellent guide.. She did appear to be a bit "rough/straight forward" but throughout the journey she has been informative and even created special playlist to reflect the mood. The only thing is they never punctual for pick up and they should improve the efficiency for customer (not standing waiting in cold for 45 minutes!)

Really great ! It was my first time on a bus tour, and I was not disappointed. The schedules were respected, Geri ("the wolf") is an excellent guide, teacher, always happy to answer questions and with humor. Our driver Macier ("the elegant") was exemplary. Only downside: the stops are sometimes a bit short when you really want to see everything.
