We rent clothes form the reception for 1500 per item , very nice and helpful people . We started and we knew that will be amazing but it was really above our imagination !! Had an amazing time on the glacier. Definitely ask for Darragh as your tour guide, he was brilliant! A very good mix of taking us to see different areas of the glacier, taking care of the different people on the tour, letting us take photos, and extremely knowledgeable of the terrain and culture here in Iceland. 10/10

Know before you go

  • Bring warm outdoor clothing, a waterproof jacket and pants, head wear, gloves, a water bottle, and snacks
  • Good hiking shoes are also recommended
  • Waterproof clothing and hiking boots can be rented (subject to availability)
  • Minimum age for this tour is 14 years
  • In order to attach crampons to the hiking shoes, the minimum shoe size of the participant to join the tour is 35 EU, and the largest shoe size is 50 EU

Our tour guide, Sarah, was the best! We were so lucky to have her to keep us safe and entertained at the same time. I would highly recommend this tour but you better make sure that you're in decent shape to do the six-mile round trip.
