I had the most incredible experience on the glacier hike at Sólheimajökull in Iceland, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing team at Holiday Tours. Due to a hiccup with my booking, Amanda from the office went above and beyond to ensure I could still join the hike, even with a slight delay. Her quick thinking and dedication truly saved the day! Our guide, Michal, was exceptionally understanding and waited for me, which I deeply appreciated. During the hike, he proved to be not only incredibly knowledgeable but also kind and truly passionate about glaciers and Iceland’s natural wonders. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he made the experience even more special by sharing fascinating insights about the glacier’s history and the environment. The hike itself was breathtaking—a surreal adventure through icy landscapes that felt like another world. I can’t recommend this tour enough, especially with such a wonderful team ensuring everything goes smoothly.
Firstly, I’d like thank the whole company as they were all part of helping us on our excursion to the south coast. But I would like to give a huge thanks to Michael (Michal) for how professional, kind hearted and caring he was. Unfortunately my husband had a fall (just bad luck) and we were unable to carry on with the tour at the glacier. Michael called an ambulance, stayed with us and even collected us on the way back. We felt very guilty for delaying the group but they were all extremely kind, even helping to get him back up the hill to the ambulance. The company were in contact at all times ensuring we had everything we needed and the support we had during a stressful time could not have been better. We will definitely be back and promise to complete the hike next year!!! Don’t hesitate to book with this company- they exceeded our expectations.
