Full description

Ride a powerful ATV over a large, black, volcanic beach, walk behind the thundering veil of water at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and take in the incredible view over Iceland's South Coast from the top of the cascade Skógafoss on this fantastic day tour.  After being picked up in the morning or meeting up with your guide at Reykjavík Terminal, head to Iceland's South Coast, famous for its dramatic coastline and cascading waterfalls.

Your first stop is the black desert of Sólheimasandur, in the shadow of Eyjafjallajökull glacier, where you'll swap the bus for a powerful ATV quad-bike.  After traversing the stark, black beaches of the Island's South Coast on your ATV bike, make your way to the DC3 plane wreck from 1973, recently seen in Justin Bieber's music video and photo shoots.

By looking northwards and inland, the Mýrdalsjökull glacier rises majestically. At the same time, to the south, sense the raw power of the enormous Atlantic waves crashing onto the shore. Once back on the bus, continue your journey and visit an iconic waterfall duo: Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss.

The former falls from heights of 60-meters, and a staircase next to it will lead you to unbelievable views of the South Coast and Iceland's interior. Seljalandsfoss is a narrower cascade that falls over a concave cliff, making it possible to encircle the stream of water fully.

If you do one trip when in Iceland, THIS IS IT!! What a day, this trip was amazing! You get the chance to visit some fabulous waterfalls and a glacier near one of Iceland's many volcanoes; the scenery is breathtaking. When doing the ATV you are dropped off to get kitted up before heading out across lava fields, black sand beaches and through rivers as you really get to experience what Iceland has to offer (including a plane wreck too!) Being on the beach was one of my favourite parts, the waves were incredible! The ATV guides were fab (thank you to Lewis) who take care of the group no matter what experience you've had of driving an ATV. As we joined the rest of the group on the coach for the journey back to Reykjavik were we greeted by the Northern Lights just to finish off a truly spectacular day! Would recommend to anyone!

Amazing experience on the ATVs across the black sand beaches and in around the valleys. The guides were cool guys and made the experience lots of fun by letting us go top speed across certain parts of the trail. The views were simply spectacular, it felt like we were on a different planet. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone.

It was well worth it even just for the ATV part alone. Felt like being on another planet. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny and made the drive go by fast. Fair warning though, you will probably get wet if you want to get close to the waterfalls. Amazing trip, I would highly recommend
