Full description

Embark on a guided tour from Reykjavik to the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon. Witness the mighty Hvannadalshnjúkur mountain and black sand desert that sprawls between Skaftafell National Park and the lagoon.

Stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk behind the cascades to reach the other side. Continue to the majestic Skógafoss waterfall and admire the impressive 60-meter drop. Continue to Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon and stroll along the shores of the lake.

Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the area as 1,000- to 1,500-year-old ice breaks away from the Vatnajökull glacier and floats silently on the water. Recognize locations from some of the many movies that have been filmed in the area, such as Batman Begins and Tomb Raider.

Stop at the spectacular Diamond Beach and admire the strand of black sand speckled with clumps of ice, giving an appearance of shimmering diamonds. In the warmer months, enjoy an added boat ride around the lagoon and witness the floating icebergs up-close.

I think it will be stunning and beautiful if it's not because rain and the strong wind. But we know how iceland is, so when I go to this tour, the weather is not that good. there is rain and wind and super cold, when in diamond beach, the rain is getting stronger that make us drenched, so I opted to just sit in bus. the Glacier is beautiful too.

Wow what an experience!!! Was a very long day but absolutely magical. Having the coach driver pull over to make an unscheduled stop on the way home so that we could take pictures of the amazing show the Aurora was giving us was the icing on the cake. our tour guide was great and full of knowledge. If you are considering booking this trio, do it, you will not be disappointed.

This is a very long day trip from Reykjavik, we left around 7am and got back around 10:45pm, Was it worth it? Absolutely! The sights and scenery were all beautiful beyond words. Due to the distance to travel, you are on the coach for quite long periods of time and although there are stops along the way, they are short and at times the visits to places such as Skogafoss felt rushed with no time to really explore the area. Also there was no food allowed to be consumed on the coach and the places that we stopped for lunch or snacks were very busy adding to the feeling of being rushed. I'd recommend bringing a packed lunch for this trip. Jokulsarlon was stunning and well worth the trip, the stop and Vik on our return journey was much more relaxed, it was getting dusk and still the beach looked fabulous. Do the trip, but be prepared for a long journey.
